Help with Primary Turbo hose and BOV
OK, a couple of weeks ago, I got on it in first gear, and when I let off I started hearing a hiss. I automatically assume that it is some type of vaccum line. Well, tonight, I was going to pull off the hose that connects the BOV and I noticed that the hose that is before the CRV has a crack in it. Well, I was going to try to put some tape over it until I could order a new one from mazda, before I could, the entire thing snapped into(and it's before the CRV)....so needless to say I have little to no boost on my secondary turbo right now. I was wondering if I could just get a piece of hose that is the same diameter and put the CRV on the end of it? Also, after I disconnected the blow off valve, at idle there was alot of air coming out of the BOV, is this normal? Thanks for any help.

Heater hoses would work fine. When there is a vacuum present, the bov should be open to allow excess plenum pressure to escape to prevent pressure backup to the turbos. So it should be o.k., if the bov is venting when it's not suppose to, then u would not get full boost.

i got those pre bent heater hose from kragens, but you shouldn't drive on them for too long, i drove it for 2-3 days and when i took it out the kragen hose was all out of shape
