Unhappy Help pls! Installed FMIC...No boost, oem temp gauge pegged?

I installed my FMIC today along with my Peter Farrell PMS.

I got everything together..it started right up. I got out and checked the gauges like 3-5 min after I started it and the temp gauge was pegged all the way up at like 11 o clock?

I looked around and didn't see anything wierd. I jiggled the 2 grounds on the front bumper support and the wire in the thermostat housing. I drove down the block and turned around and came back. No boost. I can hear the turbos spool but they aren't boosting. The temp gauge would jump around when I would give it throttle? I hit a big bump on the way back and the temp gauge went to its normal position and as soon as I gave it throttle it pegged again and started jumping.

Thinking that the PMS was fucked up I unplugged it and went for another quick spin. Same problems as before.

I have a feeling that the no boost issue is due to a loose coupling on the IC piping, But what the hell is up with the temp gauge being pegged but moving when you give it gas?

Somebody help me, please.

P.S. I searched and didn't find anything under temp gauge.

Also: I jiggled all the wires and harnesses around the fans and relay box and the gauge didn't move.

The oil pressure gauge seemed to be acting lazy also. It was responding very slowly.

Unless you are sure you are not over heating your car, don't drive it anymore!

You might have a bad connection on the water temp sensor, but it could be anything. Did you top off the coolant? air lock?

Does your boost gauge show anything? If you don't hear any whoosing then your boost leak must be quite small, but that could be the problem. What is your boost gauge reading at idle? What happens when you blip the throttle to 6 k? Do you generate any boost?

Oil sensor: often prone to getting dirty at the sender. Clean it off and it should work fine. It is under the oil filter in the block.

Good luck.

If you rev it up you hear the blow off valve release. It pulls about the same vac that it pulled before the install.

While driving you can floor it in any gear and the needle on the boost gauge shoots to 0-1 psi but won't go any farther.

your boost gauge hose (line from the manifold or whereever you are measureing from) might be kinked.
I would also look for a huge boost leak, that might expalin the whoosing you are hearing if you are revving the motor.

Either that or your boost gauge just died. If it is like you described.

Incidently your BOV release air (boost) while revving it up, rather once you release the throttle.

PMS was set at 14psi and blew intercooler inlet pipe off.

Dropped a socket when putting on greddy elbow and didn't notice. It was grounding the temp sensor to the rotor housing.
