Help Please- Both Power Windows stopped working at the same time.
It Never Happened Before. Could this be a simple fix? I used the car about a week ago, and everything was fine. One of the last things I did was roll up both windows, so I know they were working normally. A week later I start the car and everything works except both pwr windows.
Could it be a fuse or relay that sends power to both windows?

If the fuse checks out I suspect the main window switch. Mine did that and I disassembled it very carefully. What I found was that the copper electrical strips had corrosion on them. So I cleaned all copper connection strips and now it's all good. But be careful when you disassemble the main switch because I don't believe it's made to be opened. If my memory serves me right I think I had to use crazy glue to assemble it back together.

Just did the first stage of diagnosis. I checked all the fuses and they are all good. That's as far as I got so far
I observed something though. I have a jdm 7 and not sure if this is the same for US models. On my car there is some curcuit that allows the windows to operate for a fixed amount of time after the key is turned off. Usually if I sit in the car for a minute after I shut it off, if it really quiet outside, I could hear the relay used in this curcuit shut off. I don't hear this happen anymore .

Thank you guys for you input so far. I don't think its related to the main switch since both windows stopped working together. Further, I checked and there is no 12V present at the connector. This means that something responsible for sending power to the switches has failed. All fuses are still good. This is a JDM car and It has an additional circuit that that keep the windows powered up for about a minute after the key has been turned off.

I have to figure out where the power comes from.

When I was working on my car I had the passenger door switch removed and the windows for both stopped working, trying to get air flow in a hot garage.
Maybe it could be a bad continuity between the switches since they both have to be plugged in order to work. Just from my experience.

I've attached the US flow chart for both windows not working and a USDM schematic.
So left side might be right side in your case.
You can ignore diagnosis 2 steps on last page, that's for a "passenger window working only" situation.
There are test for switches I can upload later if these steps don't work.
If the attached procedures don't solve your issue, I would also look for that "ignition off" relay circuit
and try to determine if that might be the issue, since you haven't heard that relay shut off lately.

Ok, I have made some progress. I have found the wires on CPU.2 that are responsible for sending power to the PW main switch. They are the white/green and black/red wires in the 2 pin connector of the CPU.2 Both wires are heavier gauge than all the other wires connected to the CPU. The black/red wire apparently comes from the fuse box in the engine bay, but does not pass through the ig switch because it is B+ always. This wire supplies the CPU2 with B+ which will ultimately be relayed back to the PW window main switch. Logic for the timer mentioned above will come into play here. The white/green wire leads directly to the main PW switch. I got the windows to work again by unplugging the two pin connector and jumping the two wires. This way, windows are always functional even with the key off. I will now have to ad an external relay connected to the ig switch to have it function while the ignition turned on only.
I will not bother to replace CPU.2 unless another function goes bad.
