help picking parts.....
hey everyone... im getting underway with my 20B FD project and im in the market for a few parts. i posted in the 20b section but most people there have FC's so i thought this would be the best place to post. anyway, this is what i still need
radiator (anyone have expierience with griffen.... the 20b guys say a koyo may not cut it for the heat)
intercooler (i was thinking 32/3row greddy fmic... any suggestions?)
clutch(i need something streetable.... at first the motor should be making ~350... later when i work on it more it should be putting out 550HP.... can you recomend some clutches to look into, id like to get one and be able to stick with it... act, os giken tripple plate, etc)
thanks for your input!! -heath

Do a search in the 20B forum. A lot of the stuff you are going to have to make to get the engine to work in an FD is custom. That is where the expense comes from.
Almost everyone in here have no experience with a 20B because of the price tag and labor costs associated with it.
The only one I have scene in a car had a custom radiator and a custom front mount intercooler. Most 13b aftermarket equipment can't handle this engine.

its actually not a super odeal (ill probably take that back once i get started) to get it mounted and running in stock formation... i have 2 options for subframes (1700-2100), i have the motor (3000 for the front clip), a new racing beat flywheel/bearing kit , a donor car, and thats kinda it. that will get it mounted in the car and bolted to the transmission. all i need is a good radiator, IC, clutch, oil coolers (im going with CWR), and some various parts for fuel delivery.
any help or input in deciding on a rad., IC, and clutch would be greatly appreciated . i hear what your saying about the aftermarket FD equiptment possibly not being able to handle the 20b... i think a Greddy 3row intercooler would be just fine (are there any comperable ones w/ better flow that people have had good results with?) ... im most concerned with the radiator though... i dont know if a KOYO or the like will cut it!! also any input on clutches would be great too

try looking at a pineappleracing 6 puck clutch. It's pretty streetable, just not as much in stop and go traffic but even then its streetable. I would opt to go wtih an apexi FMIC. And for the radiator just go get a custom one from somewhere, you pay just as much if not less than any other radiator(koyo, pwr, fluidyne) and you can get what you want(how ever many rows and how think you want with a custom fit). I hope this helped you out, again these are just my opinions.
