Ok so today my friends and i decide to install my downpipe. after many grueling hours we finally got it all on and back together and the car doesnt start. you could imagine how i felt.

When i turn the key everything comes on (lights etc..) so it obviously not the battery. I turn the key to start it and all it does is make one small click noise and dims the lights briefly doesnt turn over or even try to just one click and thats it. I did this many times and eventually gave up.

Can you guys help me out on diagnosing the problem?

my friend said its probly the alternator or starter. But let me know what you think

Start with the starter...Pull it off the car a test it--You can bring it to a autoparts store and they can do it for you for free. The alternator won't cause the car to not turn over.

you said you finnaly decided to install your downpipe, had the car been sitting around for awhile? i had trouble starting mine after it sat around for like two weeks
