Unhappy HELP my RX-7 PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a 93 tt with 38,000 miles on it and he said it was mint, perfect..I saw pics so I bought it and paid 17,000 for it had it shipped to Arkansas from Cali, turbos not working. Replaced egr valve and gasket, a boot and then they worked. I bought a blitz sus air intake and put it on and then they quit again. Air intake installed properly. Now it is blowing oil through the air intake..I was told my turbos are shot..but no one knows anything around here about a rotary..mazda here said they cant even work on it. What is wrong with it and what is my best option and cheapest option. I was told to go with a single setup but that is pricey and will the engine hold up to more hp. It has been one headache after another since I got it a month ago..I love the car but it scares me because I want it to be dependable and it hasnt been..Please help!!!!!!!!!

Are you saying its:

(1) blowing oil out through the air filter,
or
(2) oil is in the plumping towards the intercooler?

Whoa, whoa, whoa...

First off, tell me how you know the turbos aren't "working"? I'm sure the turbos are functioning just fine, unless your's come without the turbines installed Unless they have been run really hard and at high psi, I doubt your turbos have failed after 38,000 miles.

Do you mean you aren't getting manifold pressure? If this is the case you could have several problems. Most likely it is a boost leak. I don't know how much you know, but I'm going to assume not much, since you've only had the car a month. There are tons of vacuum hoses under your manifold that control the very complex sequential turbo system. Due to the heat generated by the rotary and turbos, these become hard and brittle over time, even after only 38,000 miles. They also pop off frequently.

I would suggest reading up on the 'silicone hose job'. Changing out all the old rubber vacuum hoses with silicone will eliminate any possible leaks, if the job is done right. If it's not something you think you can tackle yourself, then don't attempt it. Find someone who can do it. It's not terribly difficult, but it's not easy either.

We are here to help

Oh, and I don't think it's possible to have oil blowing through your air filters. They suck air in, not push air out. But it is possible (and normal, to some degree) to have a little oil in the intake tract. This includes the intercooler, elbow, and manifolds.

Hey Toxicshock1134, Do you know of any 17yr. old in Arkansas that has a silver FD with Borbet type t's (17")? Just wondering cause I know a local guy that sold one to a guy who gave it to his son. That was the baddest custom 7 I've seen around in a while. Just curious thanks, and hope you get your turbo's working!
