BOV noise question

Well my stock BOV is vented and sometimes it makes this wooshing sound when im just driving around...like if i get to a certain RPM before shifting it will sound like it'e venting air out. Or if i get on it pretty good then let off and start driving regular it sounds like it is letting air out a little...is this normal? Im not talkin about when i shift...it sounds good though when it blows off ...anyway it just makes a sound when i get on it or get to like 4-5k rpm before shifting. Im not sure what it is...oh yea what's the deal with threads getting lost? I posted a thread yesterday about a noise under my car and i looked again and it's just gone....this is the 2nd time it's happened...oh well Any help is appreciated

No it's not unless the CRV is vented also. The BOV vents when there is a vacuum. Any light throttle application, coasting, or no-engine-load conditions it will vent or "hiss". Put your foot in it and the valve will close. The stock BOV is very touchy and well-designed. It just sounds like noisy crap.

Ok, well since its that way stock, is it necessary to set the spring on an aftermarket one soft enough to open as early as the stock one does? I mean, I know what you're talking about. The slightest release in pressure from the gas pedal if you are even just cruising, makes a hiss as the blow off valve opens up and stays that way until you get on it a bit. That kind of bugs me, but its been bearable. I know I could just recirculate it and avoid the noise entirely, but I actually am getting used to the sound of the stocker like the noise rather than not having it, and wanted to "upgrade" to an HKS one, and was wondering if setting the spring soft enough to vent at the slightest release was necessary. And does anyone know where to get an HKS bov cheap? The kit for our cars to bolt right up to the stock config. including the elbow and flange that comes with it is somewhere around 300 or something? Why so much? IF anyone has one for sale in good shape with all the pieces i.e., the little vent thingy at the end, bolts, any mounting brackets and of course the mysterious elbow pipe and flange (never seen those before) then I'd be interested.
