Unhappy Help ! my auto to manual is done but the wiring isn't complete !

My mechanic is going on vacation Sat and told me to come pick up 7 on Friday. All he has left is the wiring, he got the guage cluster working, and he said he cut out alot of wires,he also said something about 1 and 2nd switch, that it's not hooked up right. That it maybe twisted. He stated that the computer will think it's in third gear all of the time, and that i will be getting full boost. What ever that means. I asked him if i'm gonna damage my car driving like that and he stated no. He said he has 4-5 wires left and he's not sure if i need them.So i wanted ask you guys on this,i don't want to damage my engine. I'm worried about the computer thinking it's in 3rd all of the time. He said it runs, reverse lights work. But he said he'll finish it up when he gets back from Vacation. So do you think it's all right to drive?

That sounds scary. I wouldn't touch it myself.

In my opinion, All should be fine as long as he followed thru the manual..

Get an electrical diagram and follow thru each line.. This might sound crazy.. but you could get a new harness for a manual and just replace all.. The harness is about 10 years old and somepoint you will need to replace it..
