Help me spend my money!

So like it says I'm in te buying mood! and I got 10k to dump into my car! So on the top of my list is a power fc, tein suspension (dunno what type yet, it's going to be semi race/ and around town car) so I'm thinking on bigger injectors water/meth injection, new rims, and I want about 400-450 hp and I'd like to keep it twin turbo sooo throw some options at me please btw it's a 88 gxl with a 93 13b rew in it :P

Invest it and buy a GT3 RS in 10 years - save yourself alot of grief/frustration. That's what I wish I would have done.

Mark, you're not far from the site of DGRR. How about you bring your FD down in late April and drive it like it's meant to be and stop blabbering about Porsches? They have a website for those cars too ya know

OP, if you want to keep your existing setup then look into the BNR GB link in my sig. It'll get you to 400 (not 450) rwhp with twins.

450rwhp will require a single turbo. Don't forget a bigger fuel pump, clutch and fmic to add to the list. We carry most of this stuff on our website; www.turblown.net

The car is down because I have a bad coolant seal now it never ends with these cars

Btw, I've been to Deals Gap several times (before it became everyone and their pet dogs favorite place to putz) with some seriously fast company (bikes). Trust me, I know how to haul *** on NC mountain roads.

Have you done reliability mods yet? If not...do those first. With your question you will get quite a range of answers but here are several I feel most would suggest (if reliability mods are done).

1) Engine Management: PFC (used) + new OLED Commander = $800-$1000
2) Radiator: Koyo, Fluidyne, etc: $300-$500
3) Intercooler: SMIC or Vmount: $500-$3000
4) Suspension (Anything from shocks/springs to Coilovers): $1200-$3600
5) BNR Turbo Group Buy that Goodfella mention (I'm guessing on the price): $2200-$3000
6) Fuel System to handle power: $1000-$2000
7) Water Injection: $300-$1200

Should be a good start and others will have their own opinions.

400whp won't be easy, with twins, while maintaining stock ports.

Have you already done the Turbo II tranny and diff swap? Is the current Fd engine running sequentially or non? If non, you may as well go with a gt35r ball bearing turbo. That's a pretty common single upgrade for the Fd 13b. Us 3rd gen guys aren't gonna be much help in setting up your 2nd gen chassis/suspension.

Trust me I've been down your path before, sell your car and buy an FD. The only thing your proving is you may be able to do more with less. Its a frivolous battle that really will get you no where.

Agree with this totally. I've tried similar things before, buying an FD made most sense in the end.

You could almost buy an FD with 10k. Some people like trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. In the end it's just a really nice sows ear that is difficult to sell with terrible return on investment.

It seems like you have the negative of the FD (delicate engine) without most of the positives (suspension and appearance)

Sorry, but anyone who says this knows next to nothing about the car. Are you serious?

So my project is on hold now..not because of you guys haha but I am going to buy a FD and do the FC at a latter date, also thinking that if I buy an FD I will have a spare engine and tranny sooo I could rebuild the one that's out and do that up nicely wotha single turbo and then swap that into the FD...it never hurts to have extra engines so yeah I'm not going to do the swap haha ill buy a TII engine and do that up as well, and the very best part is that money is no issue for anything now I got lotssssssss to play with so I'll be a FD guy too! I love the way they look I'm excited to buy one and then work on it haha
