help me determine wiring from these diagrams...
I have a 1995 FD and am replacing the radiator cooling fans.
I have a pair of new fans from a 2009 RX8 - these fans are the same as the 99SPEC fans.
I do not have the 99 Wiring diagram - which might be helpful.
I DO have the 2009-2011 RX8 and the 1995 RX7 wiring diagrams
From these two attached, I should be able to determine which leads on each connector are the same.
The wire colors on ALL the fans are
BLACK
BLUE
GREEN
YELLOW
and normally I would start off by thinking that they are the same, BUT, the these colors enter the back of the RX* fans differently than the 1995 fans.
So I doubt they are the same.
I have matched these leads by "function" in the diagram and I want additional people to help me verify the conversion by offering their wiring suggestions.
Please offer your suggestions on how to wire in these fans, and PLEASE also include your logic/reasoning about why you think your suggestion is correct.
I want to get this right.
Once this is done, I will post a complete step-by-step write up on how to do this correctly.
Thanks for lending me your time on this.

'95 RX& vs. '09 RX8 motors note the colors are identical EXCEPT for the BLUE and BLACK are reversed

Okay, everyone can stop replying like mad...
In spit of all the confusing diagrams and conflicting information, apparently the answer is...
MATCH THE COLORS!
Green to green, black to black, etc.
sigh.

Neil...
I actually kept the connectors from the project above just in case this came up!
Look at the pictures and let me know if that is what you want.

I got the RX8 series II fans, and they already come with the male 4-pin sealed connector.
BTW: if you want new FD fan connectors, you can get them here:

Thanks,
