anyone have any idea?
got a rx7 fd j plate. just set of down the road and heard a loud noise that seems to be coming from the rear of the car, although it feels like directly underneath and it causes the car to jolt. Its not a constant noise just seems to happen every so often Please help as need it for weekend.......

A few things to check:

1. Exhaust, make sure the exhaust is actually on the hangers. If not, it could bounce around and make some noise.

2. Check the pillow ball bushings. Put the car on the jack stands and see if you can wiggle the rear wheels. If there is excessive play:

Bad Differential mounts can also cause it to make a clunk noise.
