Hello,
Just need some help on installing spark plugs.
How many are there and there general location.
And which ones do you guys recommend?

Also,
I am in the midst of looking for some new brake pads
I have 2 brands in mind.
Let me know if they are any good.

EBC GREEN STUFF

There are 4 spark plugs. Two "leading" and two "trailing". You probably just want the stock ones. They're easiest to get to from under the car (driver's side of the engine).

Can't comment on those two pads. I just got some Axxis Ultimates for the street that seem pretty good (just a little squealy).

I've never used a Hawk pad, but I've never heard a complaint, either. Several of my friends use Hawk HP pads and they love them.

As far as the Green Stuff, I've got a set ready to install when I get my car back from the shop.

The car starts fine when cold...
Its just when the engine is hot the car starts a little abruptly and sounds like it doenst get a full start or something ?anyone else get this when their car is hot or know what I am talking about...? I have had the battery changed about 1yr ago so i dont think this would be the problem...

Plugs can be changed from above by removing the elbow or from below by raising the front on stands.

EBC Greens destroyed my rotors on my CRX, hence I don't recomend them.
Hawk HPS for street would be good. You will want some grease on the shims.

Note: This is covered in the sticky's on the top of the page which also has links for instructions and most important the manual (which you need to read if you don't know how many plugs or where they are located).

Tip: Leading plugs have Lower number

I'd recommend the Bonez Stage I pads:

You definitely need to download the Field Service Manual and start reading to increase your knowledge of your car.

I have EBC Greens on my 7 and Hawk HPS on the Evo. I like the EBCs more. Better bite and no squeal. The Hawks just don't give me the same confidence as the EBCs. Oh and they squeal.

One note is the bedding procedure with the EBCs...if not done right either the pads will sqeal like hell or they won't work as well. I did 3 stops from 40 mph to just about stopped. Let cool for about 30 seconds between each stop. Thats it. The pads work great, very little dust, no noise and great feel. I don't know about rotor live yet since I just had them installed a couple of weeks ago while other work was being completed.
