Help I'm about to buy a 1995 RX7..........
I thought this would be the best place to ask this question so here it goes! I'm about to purchase a 1995 RX-7 equipped with the following options:
Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Fuel Release, Tilt Steering, Trunk Release, Alloy Wheels, Fog Lamps, Rear Spoiler, Sun/Moon Roof, Leather, ABS, Dual Air Bags, Remote Entry, Security Alarm, CD Player, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, Power Seats, Power Windows, Stereo System
5speed Manual Red in color it only has 27,000KM's sorry not sure what that is in miles? I'm in Canada what would be a good price for this car? The dealer is asking 31,987CDN+ 7%
That is 19,960.69 USD+ one tax 7%
What would be a good offer?
Any Help would be great thank you.....

You are looking at a 95 w/ ~17000 miles on it for ~$20. If you don't take it, someone will. The car is a touring model from the description (cruise, leather, sunroof,CD,Fog lights,) w/ a rear spoiler added on. In my area, hell in any area, I would take that deal if I had the money to do so. That car, assuming a clean body and interior, is in perfect condition. You shouldn't have to worry about the engine for a while, but be sure to get a compression test to be sure.
But if you have the money, BUY that one. It certainly sounds like the "dream" RX-7 everyone looks for but hardly ever finds.

my 95 just got stolen. anyway.
I think the dealer is asking too much, even it's around that mileage, but if you can afford it, so go for it.
and have fun cruise here.
do a search on the forum and get the info about buying a used car. If you still have some questions, even tho I still learning about 7s, but I'd like to help you, you can email me jordansfd3s@hotmail.com or just ask here.
I am just damn exhausted now.
but welcom eh? we got meeting in Toronto these month. go to canadian board and see detail.
have fun.

Okay the feed back I'm getting seems good but, what should I offer the dealer for the car?
And for the compression check what numbers should I be looking for?
Thanks.....

thats not paint....
Sounds like a great deal... First see how the car runs. If it runs good then maybe try to get like $500-1000 off. If somethings not up to par then try to get 1000+ off. Thats just my opinion though, $19k is a great deal either way.
The minimum acceptable is 6.0kg/cm^2 on all 6 faces of the rotors, with a maximum difference of 0.5kg/cm^2 between any two faces, this is at 250rpm and at sea level. Most people test around 7.
The compression is only a part of the car. The turbo system could be messed up and you still show good compression. If you can get your hands on a boost gauge then hook it up for the test drive.
Good luck,
Chris

The price sounds good, and '95s are the rarest, just be aware that Mazda built no 3rd Gen. RX-7's with tilt steering.
On your offer price, go to www.kbb.com and look up the retail and wholesale prices (you'll have to convert US dollars to Canadian.) Obviously, offer the dealer something less than the full retail price. Winter is coming, and that means sportscar sales are falling off. Also, there's a recession. Car dealers are hurting badly from what I'm seeing. Here where I live, I'm looking at a '98 NSX that's going for $10,000 below below retail price. I'm being very tempted. I don't have the garage space for it, which is the only thing holding me back.
Good luck on your deal. Don't be afraid to lowball the dealer. He needs you more than you need him.

Wow, the boys at kramer really came down in price!!
I don't think you paid too much. It is rare to find one in that shape, they werent bs'ing you.
Its a beautiful car
Make sure you take it to RX-7 Specialties for servicing and anything else!!
(the phone # is 246-6980)
make sure you check out the canadian section on the forum too!
theres a decent amount of us Calgarians driving 7's.

wow, that is one of the cleanest cars I have ever seen....you got an awesome deal....take good care of her! get a downpipe on there ASAP so you won't cook the hell out of your turbos...also install a boost gauge....these 2 things are mandatory upgrades to any 7 (as well as a boost controller)

Dude, @ <20K USD you are getting a hell of a deal or steal if you will. There are less than 400 '95s in the U.S. are they will go well pass 25K in avg condition. If I had anything to say about it, I'd be up there buying that car right now
You lucky s.o.b.
I guess cars are cheaper in the great white north.
