Help: Identify this leaking part on tranny (pic included)

My manual tranny has been leaking fluid for a good while now, and only occurs while moving. After a long drive, particularly high speed drives, I smell and see a coating of tranny fluid on my exhaust burning off.

Fluid is dripping of bolts on the bottom of the rear of the tranny gear box. Not coming from the bellhousing area, bolts, nor the rear driveshaft seal.

Today I felt around and on the TOP of the tranny, on the passenger side, I felt/saw this bolt that protrudes awkwardly at an angle out of the tranny. The top of the bolt or whatever it is spins. It looks like some kind of pressure relief valve....and it had lots of oil on it. Or is this the speedo sensor that spins?

Cant find it in the FSM's

There's a vent at the top of the tranny, that could be the culprit. Make sure the tranny isn't overfilled. Pull the 2 fill plugs, the fluid level should be right at the bottom of the fill plugs. If plenty o fluid comes out, there's your problem.

Definitely sounds like the breather, if I'm not mistaken, on the 5th/reverse housing though. Speed sensor is bolted to upper right rear extension housing.

Your box would have to be heavily overfilled to get out the breather as there's a web in the way to stop splash coming out.......would be quite a feat to fill to that level in the car. Close fitting hose into the hole and thread the bung in as quickly as possible - maybe.
