Help! I think my crank wheel trigger is bent?
On my old engine the little trigger is perpendicular to the dia of the wheel. On the new engine it is canted to one side and looks to be bent. The yellow line shows the angle it is, the red line shows how the old one is. Is this a problem? Should I straighten this to look like the old one or maybe just put the old one on?

Strighten carefully, then rotate the crank and be sure the wheel is not rubbing on the triggers and the clearance between the triggers and the wheel is equal distant all the way around .

Thanks guys. I'm just going to put my old one back on.
This is the 2nd thing I've had to fix. There was also a missing stud on the turbo/intake side of the engine. I am SO glad I kept my old engine around and didn't immediately ship it back! Although I did archive a lot of pictures of the teardown, it would have been more of a bitch to go thru the pics rather than just have the other engine to look at.

why not? it's easy to fix.
pop it off and carefully clamp it in a vise going all around. test fit it back to the car and when it's straight, you're good to go.
