Help.."friend" removed wastgate!!
OK I was going non-seq on the 94 I am selling (I swapped with the single over to my 93). What are friends for? My buddy with the machine shop meant well, but did not understand that I needed the turbo control valve removed..NOT the wastegate. And he welded the wrong valve open. Now I have a welded open turbo control and a cut off and removed wastegate valve!!
I can remove the turbo control valve, but there is no replacing the wastegate.
Any suggestions? I can feel the smartass comments coming!

Not even any offers to sell me stock twins????? I think that I will have to buy a used set of stockers now, cause the no wastegate thing is not curable, IMO.

yup your screwed, don't you mean your friend will have to buy a used set of stockers? You might be able to find just that one section of the turbos, but thats pretty hard to find. just get a set of used shitty ones and take that section out, then istall it on your set.

See if Garfinkle will sell you the housing with the waste gate upgraded wheel-shaft,compressor and wheel . With that you can have it rebalanced and have one stock and one upgraded turbo . The other turbo had an apex seal spit into it, so he has the other ,he may sell . They came from Turbonetics . Call 615-893-4469

I will sell you my old twins if you like. They have some miles on them, but the car has had a turbo timer since new and they have always had time to cool down before shut-down. let me know if your interested

Yeah, I can't blame my friend 100% for the screw up. The instructions I left him were less than perfect.
Thanks for the feedback. I will be contacting those with some used twins.

I actually happen to have that one section of the turbo housing. I was going to port it for when I pull the turbos off again in the future, but PM me if you are interested.
