help coolant prob.......again.

Ok....I will try to explain this as best as possible and hopefully u guys will understand what Im trying to explain and give me an answer.

There is a rubber coolant line running to the motor at the top under the vacuum chamber. Basically if u lift up the vacuum chamber that is at the top of the motor its right there almose exactly behind the alternator. It has a small pin hole in it that is currently leaking coolant. I was just wondering if it has to be ordered through mazda or if u can just go to the local autozone or pepboys to get the hose? Please hit me back asap. Im trying to fix the car by this weekend.

if you want a hose that bends around all the **** under there...you will need to go thru mazda. GOOD LUCK taking off the UIM, if you've never done it before...it can be a bitch

The hose is only about 6 or 7 inches with two spring clips. I can get to it without moving the uim

I had the exact same hose that ripped on me. I odered the coolant hoses from Ray Crowe. I didn't had to take off the UIM, I used a very long needle nose pliers. Good luck

there should be no need to take off the UIM to fix this hose, if you are replacing it get yourself a better line. you can go to mazda and get it but you will probally not make your weekend deadline you should be able to pick up either a rubber or silicone line at the auto shop in town. if i am looking at the right line there is only one slight bend to it witch shouldnt make much af a differance replacing the line

Your Best Friend

I have had both of those hoses bust on me at one time or another. I went out and got me a set of long reach pliers and my change time went from one hour to thirty minutes. I pasted the link below for either set that you might want to get before the install. Trust me, it will make the job so much easier.
