I would say yes and no. I dont have it hooked up, but I went single. So my canister is venting in to the engine bay, imo not a good Idea since now I have gas fumes coming from the canister.

Keep it hooked up, when i went non-sequential i left it in for safety more than anything, its not like its taking up engine bay room like in an FC.

yea i installed gt35rs single turbo so i was switching to 6an lines

charcol canister on my car , looks like it got lines running to the top of gas tank
if its good to keep it in i will just bolt it back up

fuel filter is in middle of now where.. so i am just cutting the lines around it..
and i will drop it out when i do my differential mounts

some pic of the setup

serb, I hope that isnt the position you intend on mounting that IC. you will get better cooling with the IC either horizontal, or angled lower toward the rear. with the angle you have now, the top side will be too close to the hood, and will allow very little room for air to flow through. This is the reason many of the V-mount specific ICs have the input/outputs welded on the top, instead of how yours are.

And to the OP, yes the charcoal canister can be eliminated, but realize that the ECU uses this system to send gasoline vapor into the intake stream, and is therefore set up to expect this extra (yes I know its minute, just explaining how it works) fuel. and as I hope everyone knows, gasoline itself is not flammable, only the vapor is, so make sure you either filter the hose coming from the gas tank (don't cap it, as it is there to vent excess pressure from the fuel tank) outside of the engine bay for safety reasons, or just leave it in there.

well thanks for explaining how it works this is my firs time working on rx7 so i know some things but not everything even little things like that can be news to me...

i am still working out the ic thing....that was just for the pic moving it around there..
for some reason i just like the look of that angle .....i was thinking horizontal too.... cut and relocate the outlet ,,,welded it on the top...175$$ shipped cant beat that core18x12x4... still cheaper then paying 1500$$...or maybe i can make some kinda ram air for it to work wit carbon fiber hood

I am assuming you are going with a v-mount when I say this, if you leave the radiator mounted in the stock location:
Front of car------->
radiator tilt /

then mounting the IC like that will do absolutely nothing, in a V-mount configuration the IC is the way I described

front of car------->
Intercooler is: _ or /
and rad is...... \ or \

just making sure.

Thats the reason I asked his mods. If he has an aftermarket EMS, then yank it and get you a breather tank. I was always skeptical about removing it, but after having talked to Howard Coleman about it, and hearing the things he had experience with, WHICH IS A LOT, I decided to pull mine as well. To each his own, I just choose not to carry around anything I'm not using.
