Help! Changed sparkplugs, added fuel pump ground wire, now no boost!!!!????

Ok, I changed the sparkplugs and added an extra ground wire to the fuel pump. Went to drive and now it dies at 4~5 psi!! It's like it has either no spark or no gas. I can redline fine if not boosting.

So I went back home and cut out the extra ground from the pump thinking that was causing the problem, well, it didn't change.

So I go and dig out the old sparkplugs, clean them with brake cleaner and a wire brush and put them back in, still doing the same!!!!!

Ok now, I did put antiseize on the sparkplug threads, could it cause this problem??

I also removed the fuel pump relay, testing to find a key-on live wire in the engine bay, the one in the relay is always live so I can't use it for what I want. I put the relay back. Can the relay be dead just by removing it and putting it back on?? Or maybe the extra ground wire killed it??

Tomorrow I'm going to take the pump out once more and put new wires in it, just like stock. if that doesn't work, then what???? Anybody has a spare fuel pump relay in good working condition??

You screwed something without knowing it.
Check everything you did or touched to find what you hosed.

Most likely the plug wires or something around the area.

You take a 9v battery (or a 12v low-amperage source) and connect it to two of the terminals. The other two will go from disconnected to connected (you'll hear a click).

Check your fuses too. And of course anything and everything regarding the MAP.

When you changed your spark plugs, did you happen to take any of your intake hoses off?

Make sure the plug wires are connected to the right plugs.

I changed the plugs from under the car so I did not take anything else off.

I did one plug at a time to not mix the wires so that's not it either.

All fuses are good.

I just checked the relay and it's good, I can hear it click and I can hear the pump change speeds.

I fixed the pump wires... I'm back to square one with the old plugs and the normal wiring... still hits a wall at 4psi of boost!!

Maybe my car went into limp mode for some reason? No cel though, I just disconnected the batterty and pressed the brake for 30 seconds. I haven't reconnected the battery yet. Is this the proper way to clear limp mode?

It's Fixed!!!!!!!

Something put it into limp mode, maybe the extra fuel pump ground wire, maybe unplugging the fuel pump or the fuel pump relay or even changing the sparkplugs without disconnecting the battery, who knows!

After resetting the ecu, all is good! Now I need to change the spark plugs once more... I'll disconnect the battery to do it just in case.

None of this would have caused it. The only posibility was you had 12VDC power in some circuit while you did a mod to it. But not spark plugs or even the fuel pump ground would be affected by this.

Maybe pulling the FP relay if power was to it when you did it. Which is a big NO NO with electronics.
