help with CEL

Can someone tell me if I can pull a code w/ the thing in the picture? I went to Autozone and they only rented out OBDII diagnosis sensors..

and if not is there another way to pull codes w/o getting a reader, like some other cars can do?

I'm not sure where you are located by your profile. If you have a US based FD, you don't need anything other than some wire or a paper clip to pull codes:

maybe i should Cap the A in CAlifornia...

i also have another question. The CEL comes on only after some driving. Can I still pull the code when I haven't run the car?

Or just list one of the CA locations. When I see Dublin, I'm thinking Ireland or Ohio. Maybe list it as Dublin, CA.

Yes, if the CEL has gone off it should be stored in the ECU unless you have reset it since (which it doesn't sound like you have done, at least not on purpose). So you should get a code when you do the check.

I got a 16...

where is the EGR valve located?

the CEL only started coming on after my boost problems started happening. could they be linked?

and ill change the location. haha.

It's on the side of the Lower Intake Manifold (LIM).

So i've located the EGR valve.. is there any way i can check to see if it is functioning propoerly?

does disconnecting the stock o2 sensor have anything to do w/ the code as well? i have an aem uego temporarily in place which i've been meaning to take out and replace w/ my stock o2.
