help car won't go into reverse

i took my car to goodyear yesterday and got new tires. i got back to my house and then started it up an hour later and it wouldn't go into 5th or reverse. after trying a few itimes it went into 5th and goes into 5th alright but still won't go into reverse. i have 5th gear syncro but i havn't really worried about it because i never really shift it into 5th. could it be something caused from that? is my clutch bad? it has slipped before in the last month but it only happened once so i don't think my clutch is bad.

Check your shifter and all the bolts holding it to the tranny. I had the same problem, it was the bolts they were loose. So i bought a B & M, its ok.

Dont worry man, if it did it just once let it sit and try it again in a few hours, it will be fine.

just remember if it pops out of gear then its your syncros, try going from 1st directly into reverse and see if that works..

mine does this too
just keep running through the gears
eventually it will work
it could be the syncro or bad shift linkage

A dragging clutch will also cause this problem. Fluid low or worn out clutch cylinder.
