help, car jerking, hopping

I have a question and I have searched. I have an ACT street strip clutch with a heavy duty pressure plate and also a lightened flywheel, and my engine is ported. When i come to a light and decellerate my car seems to "jerk" alot, or bounce like the connection between the flywheel and the clutch are not tight untill i give it gas or take it out of gear. Could this be becuase of counterweight problems on my lightened flywheel or is it just the combination of mods i have on my car? Anyone with a similar problem? or solution?
Thanks, Gil

Did you break in the clutch properly?
Stop by FIC and talk to Todd. They are in pompano on powerline next to broward bolt.

I used to have this problem on a '79 RX-7 with a light flywheel. It was due to uneven (normal) firing on decel in combination with the normal play (backlash) in the drivetrain and was made worse by the light flywheel. I never was able to cure it, I just disengaged the clutch for slow-speed deceleration.

Since your clutch is engaged and lightly loaded under these conditions, it has nothing to do with clutch break-in.

I have the same problem with mine....I believe this is normal....although annoying at times. When it gets bad I just put the clutch in.

I have the same problem...a lot of slop. But, I also have a bad motormount and possibly a cracked PPF. Should replace them soon, I'm hoping that will fix it.

Normal. Drivetrain has more mechanical advantage over the engine when using a lightened flywheel.
