HELP...buying fd

Well I am new to the forum but have browsing for a while and am buying a 93 next month. From what the dealer told me its basic stock. So what should I do to my FD after I buy it. I know I will need silicone hosing[dont know how much and is it difficult to do] and boost controller from what Ive read. Can you guyz help me by telling me what else and an estimate on the cost.
thanx

Before you buy it have a compression test done!!! Is this your first turbo car? first rotary? If you answered yes to either of these you need to be very careful at modifying your car. At the very top of the forum there is a SEARCH tab. This is the key to an ocean of information!!! Every newbie question you can think of has already been asked and is archived.

In short,...........Silicone vacs is a very good reliability mod, also check the cats to make sure they are not plugged. You have to be careful, every mod you do that increases intake or exhaust flow will increase the boost. And once you go over what the wastegate can handle,.....it's not pretty.

Good luck

Yep, exactly.. You may also want to upgrade the cooling system..radiator and intercooler.. you can never keep your FD too cool. And remember when modding.. for every 3 hp mods.. do an ECU upgrade. It may be a myth, but I'd rather fall to myth than fall to a broken FD.
