Help - best way to transport an FD

Hi all,

Can you give the best options if I want to transport an FD that is NOT running from NC to NJ?

1. I could pay for a professional shipping service.

What are my other options. My friend has a big truck - is it easy to tow a car that far?
How much does it cost to rent a flat bed? Probably a lot?

Any serious suggestions where I could save money but not hurt the car?

Thanks.

best bet is a flatbed truck.

towing a car with two wheels up in the air and two on the ground for long distances can REALLY **** up the suspension. the car would be at like a 35ish degree angle, and the suspension was not made to travel in angles like that. just up and down.

spend the extra cash and get a flatbed.

I just towed my FD to Rotary performance. I rented a U-Haul car transport that was "flat-bed style" for 55 bucks. Your friend must have a Heavy Duty recieving hitch though. Try and strap a car cover over your car while it is being tranported (VERY SECURELY). I didn't use a cover, and my near showroom original paint recieved about 7-8 noticeable rock chips on the front end and fenders. (it was most likely from pebbles flinging backwards off of the wide truck tires on my friends Chevy)
