Well I'm trying to find out what the wire does... I'm reading almost everything I might think that the wire might be connected to. How I discovered the wire was while I was inspecting the engine, I just found the wire. it was hidden between the secondary turbo intake and the transmission.

3. There is no wire connected to the temperature sender, but I found where the spade plug is.

Ok, very good, you answered question #3. Since there is no wire on the sender, the sender cannot talk to the gauge, so the gauge is deaf ( cannot hear anything, yet ).

We will fix that.

Now answer these...

1. That yellow/white wire - Where does it go exactly?
2. Can you take it loose from where it goes? Or does it go down into the engine harness?

Pull on the yellow wire and tell me where it goes - into the harness, onto a stud, where does it go ? Take a picture of that point where it disappears.

When you answer the above questions I am going to have you take a short piece of wire, strip both ends and we'll test that yellow wire to see if it's attached to your Temperature gauge. How do we do that? - well we'll insert one end of our wire into that spade terminal ( black connector ) and the other end of our wire will attach to the ground strap in that picture. Make sure the wire connects good and clean. Then go into the car, inset the key and turn it to the ON postion. Check the temperature gauge now and tell me what it did.

Alright so I got all your answers.
1) The wire goes under to the engine harness and it
2) I don't think I'm able to remove the wire from how it is at the moment, it goes down into the engine harness

From the picture the white dot is connected to a bolt and the yellow arrow is the connector. The yellow dot is where the wire comes up from.

Ok, got your answers, now let us proceed with the wire test as I explained above, this will tell the tale. Hook up the test wire as I showed you, turn the car on ( don't need to start ) and watch the temperature gauge.

I'm about ready to retire for the evening, so hurry up !

Yeah, I did exactly what you did. Yeah, nothing happened, nothing happened to the temp gauge. I tried it three times, no response.

What is the temperature gauge reading with the car on ? Does it set on C and not move ? You are sure the yellow wire had a good path to Ground and that you turn the car on ( fuel gauge came up, bells, whistles came on )? Sometimes when you insert a bare wire into a connector it does make good contact.

Try it again.

it sets even lower than C. Seems like it's just a dead needle. Yeah I tried repositioning the connection to the connector three times, and the grounding I used was the engine hooking point. (The place where you put the hook to carry the engine out)

The next step is to see if the wire in the engine compartment is connected to a wire in X-14 connector under the dash. Do you have a continuity meter ( ohm meter will do ) ?? We are going to determine if that yellow/white wire has a path to a wire at X-14. Now X-14 connector is WHITE in color and @ 14 wires. ONE of these wires is a YELLOW/White wire. It is located up under the dash on the passenger side of the car on domestic cars. Is your car a right hand drive ? Does your engine harness pass thru the left side of your car or right ?

Ok, I see your signature says your car is a Left hand drive. So we are in business. The connector X-14 is right up on the firewall behind the glove box. Find it and find the Yellow/White wire. Run a test from the wire in the engine compartment to that X-14 wire with key off and see if there is continuity.

See you in the morning.

It's left hand drive, and unfortunately I don't have a ohm meter, so that is a problem. My engine harness passes through the left (If I'm sure what you mean). Next week I'll be visiting the mechanic, so I could test it out there.
