BC HELP! all you seven experts help me out here...

Hey everybody...

im new here to rx7club.com, and found out about it through a few magazines and internet blogs and stories.

i had a question... wondering
if all fd's are able to convert their storage bins into seats.......

or are the "type b's" the only one that have 2+2 seat configuration with standard tranny......

i dont have a car yet... and i've always loved the 3rd gen fd.... i need some help here.... can you guys help me get started?... what should i know?... what would i need? what to consider? etc.... i live in Vancouver area, British Columbia, Canada....

Whoever you make sit back there is gonna hate you. I've heard of it being done but not too many people do it.

all USDM FD's were 2 seaters,
a majority of JDM FD were 4 seaters, with only a couple models actually being coupes.

the seats in the back are TINY, and arent really suitable for... anyone really, i personally think they provide more storage space than the bins but thats just me.

shift pattern is the same, you need to readjust your lines so that you stay in the lines on the street, you cant pass people, and you cant go through toll booths or drive throughs.

first. backseat = just for look .. and whoever going to seat on the back... going to kill you after.

1) too tight
2) hard to get in and out
3) will add more weight to your fd when packing extra 1 to 2 people in the back.

so i dont see the point for the back seats.

just my .02 cents

i find it easier to store stuff, i can lay two duffel bags across there with backseats rather than the bins, i mean the bins are nearly useless for store... well anything really besides maybe a battery...

for storing people tho? get a daily driver... seriously >.>

Personally, I keep what I call my RX-7 Survival Kit in my bins. Including, but not limited to: a complete set of sparkplugs, a socket that's been filed down to fit in the part plug areas, about 15ft of vacuum hose, carb cleaner, ATF, MMO, premix, a quart of oil and I keep a gallon of coolant under the passanger seat.

If I have to carry luggage, I put it ontop of the bins and/or in the hatch. sometimes I remove the divider to give a little extra space.

Honda's have back seats, no modification necessary.

I do the exact same thing. I just have more generic things as well such as jumper cables, duct tape, a mini toolset, and an electric tire inflator(don't know why), road hazard reflector, feather duster, and lint roller. HAHA
