i drove from L.A. to San Luis Obispo, 200 miles and my battery didn't die. It seems it goes away when the car is warmed up. Any other ideas?

Put a volt meter on it and see what it's doing with the engine off, engine running (different rpm's) and with a full load. Are you running a stock pulley system or an under drive setup. what was the idle at when this was happening, is the idle higher or lower when the car's warmed up? I wouldn't think a 200 mile trip would tax a good battery very much (unless it was a night drive)

yes i drove at night. idle is normal. at least, it has acted the same way since i have had the car. can i buy a volt meter at an auto store? was going to replace the fuse this evening to see if that would help. I have checked all grounds visible to me so maybe damage to the wires on the harness? thanks
