i dont no if it actually makes a difference but it says you have to remove both in the manual as well as the crank angle sensor

i would assume that with removing only one that the other rotor would either slow or speed up the rotor your testing and screw with the reading

Well, since you arent sure the actual compression sequence it is hard for me to guess. If it hit 30 psi on two faces it is likely a chipped apex seal. If it only hit it on one face it is likely a side seal issue which is pretty rare but happens.

...so..did you try the compression test again? or did you come to any conclusions?
