Here is my feeble off the cufff write up on my chatterbox driver-passenger intercom installation:
here are the parts that I got, you can get differents options if so desired:
item name:partnumber:price ( price is when i got it from https://www.terra-powersports.com )
hjc-50 main unit - cb50unit 34.77
ChatterBox: HJC-50 Full-Face Mic & Headset - CB-50FFHS 22.43
ChatterBox: Student Headset - CB-RSRHS 27.08
ChatterBox: Power Filter Cord - CB-50PREX 19.34
Stereo Headset Extension Cord - CB50HSEX 15.47
you may need some other misc stuff like:
- a loooong strip of cardboard (see below)
- some zip ties
- basic tools
ok, so here is a pic of the goodies, minus a few things that i forgot to put in the shot:
i hoooked the power to the car, tapping the same lines i used for the v1 power, so its switched power, in other words, it can only be on when the key is in and turned at least to acc position, the power wire was tapped from the cruz control line
long cardboard strip to get unde rthe top liner to the power cord by the inside lights
this is the cardboard strip with the notch cut out to catch the end of the power line
after pulling power line through
power line ready to hook up to power converter thingy
picture of how i placed the power converter thingy
pic of back of chatter box main unit, look at the small notches i made in order to pass a zip tie through the back side of it in order to mount to roll bar
placement of chatter box main unit
...and thats about it fo this part... helmet install is below

helmet install pics:
I made small cuts in the ear pad liner and slipped in the ear speakers
I pushed the wire inbetween the pads to hide it all
i put the mic right in front of the mouth area
the wire came out in a good place, but i will 'p' clip it to the side of the helm so that if it gets pulled on the c-clip will divert the force to the helm and not pull the wire out
final result
**side note**
I have a 'student' type headset for the passenger, its a earspeaker with an attached bar with a mic at the end, this can slip into any helm, making it easy to use the system with anyone who jump in with a helm.

Yeah, seems many of the BMW CCA and PCA DE instructors are switching to the Chatterbox system. I'm old school. I've been using my (much cheaper) Nady PMC-2 with upgraded headsets
