Heater core repair: How much PSI?

So my heater core has a leak between the plastic end tank and the plastic ends of the core itself. I tried using JB Weld but when I apply air pressure it keeps blowing out of the same place. I probably needed to let it fully harden...

How much PSI should a heater core be able to handle? Maybe twice the pressure of the cooling system (26 psi?).

If it won't hold even after it's 100% hardened I might remove the JB weld and try melting it with a soldering iron.

Normally I'd just buy a new one, as much of a hassle removing the dash is, but they're $300...

Turns out they're only $150. Hah. For the record, JB weld repair didn't work.
