Fitting ID injectors with OEM type lower cushions

I am about to replace my current Bosch EV1 injectors with some new Deka injectors that are basically the same as the ID ones to look at. The Bosch ones require me to pull out the OEM diffuser and seals from down the hole and then fit an adapter to downsize the hole for the 14mm o-rings.
I have since read that ID and other places sell kits where the injectors have a Denso (OEM style) cushion on the bottom of the injector replacing the O-ring so they can just straight drop into the engine without the need for additional spacers/adapters? Can anyone confirm if this still works when the OEM diffusers have been removed please as I don't recall there being a noticable step do the hole when the diffusers are removed. Just a plain hole the would allow the injectors to just fall right in?!
I could always put the diffusers back in but I gather it is advised you run without.
So which is my best option?

Thank you
Lee

They were a direct OEM replacement for my FC. You can see the cushions in the pic below. On my application, you remove the green o-rings and replace them with provided cushions, and the diffusers are left alone. FFE sells a replacement spacer that takes the place of the diffusers.

P.S., the ID injectors are Bosch EV14s

Thanks for the info and pics. I will have to see if I can fit cushions on my Deka ones and get some of those diffuser replacements. Or make some. I assume it os just a tube with an print on top the length of the pen diffuser. I am only putting the Deka injectors in my primaries. Other than that I will mod the adapters off my Bosch EV1's to suit.
would be nice to have a factory type install though if possible.
