Heated O2 sensors?

How many of you guys use heated O2's for normal
street driving? Any bad effects?

And when you heat them?... do you just turn to accesory on? and for how long of a period of time?

i think the only heated 02 sensors are the wideband units. You can't just replace the stock 02 sensor with a 5-wire sensor. You need a heater/heatsink,powersource and all that good stuff.

you wire the heat wires one pos to a 12 volt engine on source ,the negetive wire to ground. The sensor wire to the ECU .When you start the car the heater in the sensor will heat the sensor up more quickly than the exhaust will, It must be above 600 degrees to work, I just let the car heat my o2 up as the motor heats up Ican wait 3 or4 minutes

I have a heated O2 from Pettit. I think it is from a Corvette. Does not seem to make any difference, even seems to run worse when cold out.
