Having trouble with my Profec B

I decided to cough up some money and finally get rid of the manual boost controller. I got a used Profec B (not version 2) from a friend of mine. Installation was a breeze but now I'm having problems with overboosting. I have the ***** turned all the way down on low boost and high boost and the car is boosting like 13psi. I tried the two different ways to flip the switches behind the boost controller (internal wastegate form), but it doesn't seem to do anything. The boost is also inconsitant, meaning it goes from 13-11psi. I've sharpened it up like the instructions say to do so to avoid overboost and boost spikes. It seems to help a lil but it still doesn't answer my question why it's set so high? The ***** are turned the lowest they can go and I don't like the boost being set so high. :very confused:

if you are on the twins did you take the pill out of the wastegate actuator line? you need to do that to start with the lowest boost possible which would be 7psi on a stock car

I have seen that advice given many times for an EBC install and have yet to figure out where the hell people come up with it....YOU REMOVE THE ACTUATOR LINE FOR A EBC INSTALL!

FD Rey:

Have you verified that the solenoid works? Have you verified that you have installed everything correctly? Did you plug both the nipple at the wastegate and the line leading back to the wastegate solenoid?

Isn't there on the back those jumpers that you can set for overboost and stuff. I think you should try messing with those if you haven't by now, and see what happens.
