Yeah, I think if you run your vents on the setting that is not recirculate the pressure should exit the rear vent. I forget where exactly it is, I think in the spare tire well?

No, I think it's in the corner near the fuel pump access panel.

If you're trying to race corvettes at these speeds, you should have your windows up to reduce drag anyway.

I haven't seen the data, but I've heard somewhere that the A/C is less draw on the engine than the drag that occurs due to open windows at highway speeds. This might not have been RX-7 specific info, either.

He said its a track event and he is required to keep the windows down, pretty common for road racing.

I saw that mythbusters too, but didnt remember the results. I think you are right that the A/C got better milage.

I do If I can, a little sweat makes it feel more like real raceing. Some track days require the windows be down for safety reasons (smash the front end of a car with power windows rolled up + break the battery + car catches fire = toast). Sometimes i ignore the hatch and just run with then for a lap or two just to prove I can.

I didnt see this mentioned in the previous threads but see if the weather stripping is still good in the hatch area. Also see if the hatch stops (one on the left side and one on the right side) are still at the proper levels. If both of these are in good working order then i would see if you can adjust the latch.

The hatch begins to vibrate and begins a banging noise when I have both windows down at 125 (easily noticeable in the rear view mirror). It has this problem with only one window open, but it begins at about 60 MPH, and cracking the other window lets the pressure out okay at those (highway) speeds. Most track days require that the windows be open, and I'm tired of lifting at 130 and letting the corvettes go because my hatch may fly open. Is there an adjustment to get the hatch closed tighter, an unobtrusive place to put a hole to let the pressure out, or a device like the vettes have that opens the hatch about an inch while still being latched? The car is street driven and I'm looking for a solution that no one will notice or won't violate any safety rules. Any ideas?
