update: car is completely sanded. have to wash the car down, do a few more body work touch ups...and then hi build primer some spots. especially where the antenna was shaved and on the doors where i sanded the rock guard off. after the high build goes on sand the car one more time and then spray the door jams and the jams where the hatch is. still a long road to go but it is getting there. let me know what ya guys think.

"Sanding Sux"
I think you should have masked off the engine while sanding (paper across top from fenderbolt down lip -to-fender bolt down lip). Other than that, good shots.

looking good.
ive painted a couple of cars so if i may give some tips on my expirences.
make sure you use a high quality paint gun, you will be sad if you dont.
use good filters in the compressor lines for water.
make sure you have lots of light, and just when you think you have too much. add another light. its hard to see everything in a garage, esp since you been inhaling paint fumes for a couple hours, which goes to #4.
but a good filter mask, dont even try to do it with those thin paper things from home depot.
make sure you have plenty of ventilation sucking air out of the garage or the paint in the air will settle on the car.
good luck and keep us updated

thanks guys. yeah our ventilation system is actually two box fans in the door. hasnt failed us before. and you know xstrans am... i use to totally agree with you about the gun but in the past couple of instances, my favorite gun is a little no namer i got for 40 bucks. but we use inline gun filters and good filters off the compresser to try to prevent water.

update: well i made another purchase yesterday....vertical doors! the good thing about these doors is if i dont want to make them go up...then they open regular style. this slows down my process now because i will install the kit first and line the doors up so i dont mess up my door jams. so i am pretty much at a stand still until the kit comes in. the doors are now off the car and awaiting the kit. will post pics of this as well
