Has anyone upgraded the radiator fans?

Just wondering if anyone has upgraded the radiator fans and if so can you post some info on the fans you used along with any info on the electrical

In addition let us know if it made a difference

Also, does anyone have info on the cfm rating for the stock fans on the high setting

Thanks,
STEPHEN

The stock fans are really well made, and do a fine job. I would not recommend replacing them with an aftermarket unit. If yours go out, I would recommend an oem replacement.

You might take a look at this thread (if you haven't already seen it):

Might be an alternative for you.

Mine are fine, I'm not really looking for that reason. I'm working on a IC and rad design and I'm curious what other radiator fan options are out there.

Mahjik, thanks for the link, I'd already read it and was going to bump that one but thought I'd start a new thread since I'm wanting info on any fan and that thread is fan specific.

Also, how have people come to the conclusion that nothing is better if no one has tried it? No one even knows the cfm specs of the stockers.....YET they somehow know there is nothing better??? Wierd to say the least

I'm looking at some Spal fans for a new radiator setup I'm dreaming up.

Thanks guys,
STEPHEN

Stephen,

At some point, additional CFM will not make any measureable difference in cooling. I am suggesting that the stock fans, on high speed, are nearing the "unmeasureable difference" point.

There is no way possible for anyone to know that unless they know the stock cfm or have tried a real high flow fan and found it to be no better.

I have not done any testing. I am just telling you what I believe to be true.
