go straight out from there?

I heard that the sound would be deeper.

Also, less weight in the rear and muffler weight (not that it's alot) would be midship.

a flowmaster scavenger series could fit in the stock cat location fairly easily.

Actuall i was thinking of the Flowmaster to replace the main cat.

When I compared the Mustang with flowmasters and the chevy with flowmaster, the Mustang sounded more throaty and deeper.

People explained that it was due to the exhaust tube being longer from the muffler.

I replaced the main cat in my FD with a Borla XR-1 resonator and the muffler with a PFS catback. Everyone commented how great the car sounded, might try that combo.

Angry Gave me Headaches

I had the Borla XR-1 in place of the cat at one point along with a A'pexi N1-dual catback. I was getting crazy resonance at highway cruising speeds. My original intent was to make the car quieter but it didn't help. The N1-dual isnt exactly quiet on its own though.

I believe it is the stock front w/ a lip. Batman will verify this.

It's a stock front with some fog lights and clear signals. looks nice. Alain I hope you mean to plumb the exhaust to the back of the car still. You know about rotarys and flames right I don't think it would be a good idea to have a blow torch under the car. Also the fumes would make you pass out and crash the car. I wish I could route mine to about five feet away from the back of the car

I replaced my cat with a flowmaster and couldn't be happier. The sound is great-loud but not to loud. I had it set up so I can bolt back in the cat for emissions. I also run a down pipe and dual chrome tip out the back. By the way, I just got my powder coated wheels back--black rims on black car just like yours because your car looks awesome. Now I just need the windows tinted--thanks for the idea!!!

Batman, I love the black on black theme and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. My last car was a Civic which was black with black rims and dark (illegal ) tints. Now my FD is red but I can't afford to paint it black like I wanted so I decided on painting my silver OZ rims black and leaving the silver lip. Should be done in another day or so...I'm hoping it turns out good.

STAY ORIGINAL!!!
