Has anybody noticed a small dent on roof from sunroof?

I was wondering how many other people have got a small dent inbetween the sunroof and drip rail on the drivers side. It looks like somebody pushed down on it
and made a shallow 3" dent. The reason I ask is we have a couple of othe cars
including my own with this same indentation, in the same place. Under the haedliner right in the middle of these dents is a locating pin for the factory to install the sunroof, and I wodered how many other people might have the same
thing. It almost looks as if the sunroof movement over time moves this pin some
and dishes it in. I have and expensive paint and body work done and know that
it has never been hit in this area, so I am trying to find a fix for this in the future.
This just showed up again after couple of years after repair was fixed prior.
I only have a couple of rx7 sunroof cars to compare. Thanks Ralph

Hmm...my car does not have an impression there. I don't remember seeing it on any other sunroof cars that I've seen, but if it's shallow, I might not have noticed.

I never seen that before and, you know its not to be there. May besome thing was place on the top of the car or it may have been in a collision and over looked.

This is the famous "double bubble" roof design. It's there on purpose.

He's talking about the area between the sunroof and the drip rail....he's not talking about the Zagato roof...

Thanks for the feedback. I was trying to find out if the sunroof guide pin could do this.

The design looks much better implemented on the RX-7 though

On a different note: as for the dent, I've never noticed anything like that on any RX-7 I've ever looked at. Could you take a picture for us?
