HARD driving......
i hear a lot of you guys talking about this...and how you do a bunch of hard runs on the car. but now that i have my car, i've realized something. its so SMOOTH it never feels hard. the first time i took my car to the warning track (7500) and heard the buzzer, i was shocked. it just kept turning the RPMs without feeling like it was straining or anything. the car always feels so smooth and nice, its almost hard to keep myself from hitting the redline more often. i love it!

don't race, don't need to
Yeah, the smooth engine with the radio up can make for some interesting times... I personally detest 4 bangers now, and even V-8's are a little... unrefined.
Why, yes, I WOULD like another glass of Chianti Classico, thank you.

BTW, your statement about the exhaust gases spinning the turbos faster and faster would only be true if we didn't have a wastegate.....

excessive over-revving could also send parts of your drivetrain through your car -- there's a reason for the "not to exceed 10500 rpm" on Racing Beat's flywheel+clutch page.....
All in all though, the rotary is much more tolerant of that kind of abuse. I read somewhere that someone ran a 12A up to 20000+ rpm before it self-destructed.
