Check it out...me and my buddy wanted to take some photos for the weekend. He has an '87 Conquest TSi. Wasn't an all-out car photoshoot, had some pics of us too. What you guys think? It was a pretty day/evening too! I have about 100+ we took but these are some random ones.

how much power does the starion" or conquest "put down? one of the better cars MITS made I like them

 

I love yellow on rx7's. Most cars look really terrible in yellow, but on rx7's and corvettes, there isnt a better color.

 

Ahh the FD looks great, so does the Conquest... I had a 83 Starion. (same car, just the Mitsubishi make of it. ) I loved the thing to death, but I wanted something a little newer...

I usually hate yellow paint on cars, but the FD just makes it look good. haha Thanks for posting the pics.

As far as power output of the Starion's/Conqeusts' , 84'-85' was about 170hp and 86' to 89' was more like 200. The 83 I had, had a throttle body injection they quickly changed for a later year. As well as stock it had no intercooler... so it was pushing a lower output. Something near 150 I would guess. I can't remember spec numbers off the top of my head, its been a while.

 

Looking good, sweet cym, the red car kinda ruined some of the pics but overall great pics.

FDZero, nice clean CYM and clean conquest. Did any work to her yet or is she all stock? Twin turbo93, that ugly red cars not a joke on the street with alil boost from a nice turbo. It has a cast iron block which means that thing can handle tons of boost and shes rear wheel drive. 500hp+ and easy streetable..

 

Thanks for compliments and for everyone else's about our cars. She's pretty stock other than some reliability mods (check out my VB Garage for more). I got a Koyo radiator in hand still and yet to be installed. I do want to look into a stock mount intercooler sometime too. However, I'm not looking much in her other than relliability mods and anything that breaks (!!!). I drive it only to enjoy it on weekends...so I have no real means to increase the performance further - no track or anything around here.

For my bud's 'Quest, it's amazing. Plus, he built from the ground up so he's built it to his likings and performance preferences. Spools up nicely and will give others run for their money!

 

Well I'm sorry if I offended you and your car, I even had no idea that this was a mixed RX-7/Conquest forum, and BTW I have nothing against red cars, just comented the CYM RX-7, and from my opinion the pics would have been looking alot better without the red car.



I'm sure it's a quick car, and w/ ~ 500hp it must real fast but that wasn't the reason why I replyed.

Your FD is sweet. I personally have always liked the Conquest body style but not as much as I like FD's.

 

that conquest wont put more than 200 to the wheels with a 87 ECU and intercooler and turbo. my 89 , which was the best year made for them and also the final, running the most boost, the best intercooler, and the best ECU, ran a 14.3 and made about 225 whp. Those dodge caravan motors in them really bite nuts. But I loved the car, prob will buy another if i can find one.
