Yeah you might want to put your dad as a registered owner of the car. It is FL state law that the insurance matches the registration. If you wreck your 7 then they can deny the claim. As to taking a car from the track and dumping it off the highway....the company will know the difference. I know from personal experience (Im an insurance agent). Yes people do get away with insurance fraud all the time, but my industry tries to screw the public as much as we get screwed. I even doubt that the tow company would help you do it. As sleazy as they are, they're not going to knowingly help you f*** over one of the biggest sources of their business.

rented U haul flatbed and truck, not a tow company.... not that I would ever do this insurance fraud is bad.
Thats how people here in areas bordering Mexico get out of leases they can't afford. Have gap insurance and international insurance then drive the car down to Mexico leave it running with the keys in, windows down and walk away and tell the insurance company your keys where stolen. lojack recoveries don't happen across borders.

You maybe in MO but it is a FL policy that is covering that car nationwide. You father definatly should be put on the registration...its not like thats a big deal or anything, its just a signature. If you total that car the company will try to find a way to deny the claim.

Constant threat
I have my Hagerty's quote, it spells out all the policy information pretty clearly.
With an 'agreed upon' value of $20K, $1000 deductible, no shown mileage restrictions (hmmmm...) good PIP coverage, $100,000/$300,000 liability, towing coverage, and other miscellaneous stuff the premium would be $434 per year.
And I am paying $1100 per year thru Farm Bureau....
I really need to look into going with Haggerty's..........
