Take a good whiff of the fumes coming out of your tailpipe right after you start the car when it's fully cold in the morning. The cat will be too cold to function and you'll get a feel what your car will smell like all the time without a cat.

I have a bonez hi-flow cat and the smell is horrible before it gets warmed up - like raw gas, granted im running really rich but I can only imagine how bad it would be with no cat at all.

 

hahaha my neighbor once cam over in her bathrobe to complain about the fumes. my wife says its horrible to follow behind me.

 

It doenst smell that bad, my clother dont smell at all and neither does any stuff in the trunk. But it will water your eyes and make sore throath if you stand at the tailpipe too long

 

It didnt bother me, the smell was like that of any car with no cats in my opinion... not nasty like everyone mentioned, just rich smelling. I never smelt like gas and you could only really smell it when behind the car.
