guage cluster install/removal question. indiglow
I bought a FD, at the prevous owner bought indiglow guages on it.. and well they look ugly, and are starting to peel.
My question is.. how the hell do yuo remove the guage cluster?
I searched the forum like crazy and only found installed pictured and what not.. but no information on how to take out the guage cluster.
If somone could give me the locations of all the screws that hold the guage cluster, I would greatly appreciate it.. or even a installation instruction for the indiglow guages that show how to remove the guages. I searched around on the car and only found one screw.. I looked at the manual but that didn't show any useful information.
So if anyone could tell me where the screws are located that hold the guage cluster in place, I would greatly appreciate it..
Thanks for your time.

No it's not Turbo'd
From Memory as I have taken My dash appart about 20+ times ...
Allthough it's been a while since I've seen my FD
There are 3 on the bottom of the steering collumb....
2 On the floor vent panel
2 On the bottom of the actual gauge cluster.
Then you have to carefully pull the whole thing towards the steering wheel, and it just pops out with pressure, but make sure all the screws mentioned are off first...
I seem to recall soemthing about having to loosen the side (door / window) defroster Connector plate, on the dash side... I think one of the screws hides behind, or the screw stick trough that panel into the dash....
Hope this helps.... If I had my car I'd take pictured for you....

Disconnect the battery -ve cable, then you start at the far lower left of the dash assy. and remove panels (look for the screws closely). Lower left valence, steering column lower cover, lower right valence. Once you have all the screws out and the panels out sit in the car and grip the instrument panel and pull toward you. It will "pop" out of the two fasteners that hold it. Then you can reach in behind it to release the three large connectors (I think it's three - my memory isn't what it should be). Once they are disconnected the module will come out.

i just did this on my car and its quite a hassle. You have to be careful pulling the dash out and you must disconnect a lot of different wiring harnesses on the back of the gauges. Just be very careful not to break any tabs while pulling off the dash
