grr...how come no flames?

hello,

I was kind of excited when I had my custom mid pipe made, because I thought my fd would shoot flames like everyone claims.

btw: I have a GForce ECU (GForce + Midpipe = flames) but not for me...

do you still have the precat?, also it would help if you had a straight thru type of muffler

You still may not shoot flames with the cat back that is on the car. If I'm not mistaken most of the time you will need a staight through muffler like the N1, or GT Spec or something similar

Go for a straight through muffler system and she should be flaming.

Mine used to shot flames alot with a downpipe, no cat and a asp race muffler. No that I went with a single turbo, no cat, side exaust and not muffler it doesn't spit fire nearly has much. WTF, the exhust is shorter and more open, I think it's just tuned better now.

Hey Mkoch1!
is your car at KDR right now? If it is the same one, and I am sure it is, that is one awesome looking ride!!! I am picking up my car today, and if yours is still there, I am going to snap a few digital pictures of it. I was drooling over it (not on it though ) when I took my car in on tuesday

You have to run richer. Simple as that.

Raise your boost and then you will have the need to run richer

DarkNight,
Yep my car is still at KD. I am picking it up friday if dave is done. We are supposed to dyno it tomorrow if he has figured out what is wrong with it yet. Your lucky you live so close to dave, it takes me 3.5 hours to get there and over 4 to get back (have to drive slower when towing my baby) If you see dave today tell him I'll be there early tomorow.

I doubt it, I have the Greddy PE and hardly ever shoot flames, yours is more restrictive then mine.

Get rid of that Mangaflow and you'll be asking how to keep your bumper from melting.

Sure, if you are running rich enough.

I have no idea what kind of power it's going to make. Before I wrecked it and rebuilt it, it was pretty stock. Since the rebuild I pretty much changed everything. Hopefully it will be ready to dyno tomorrow when I get there and I'll finally know how much hp it has. Then I just need to learn how to drive it or it will look like this again.

thanks guys, I'll consider a better exhaust in the future. Right now, the magnaflow is very quiet, which is what I like

If you tell everyone your car is faster than theirs, you can get lots of flames.
