Would 2 gauge be over doing it for ground wire? I bought about 25 feet of welder cable a whiel ago to relocate the battery and I am going to have a tons left over so I thought I would redo my crappy grounds with something nicer. Or would this be utterly pointless with 2 gauge?

If you already have the 2 gauge, no reason to go out and buy a diffrent gauge to make new grounds. I'd just use the 2 gauge and be done with it.

Edit: Not sure what other ground kits use, but the HKS grounding kit uses 8 gauge. Thats quite a bit smaller compared to the 2 gauge, but I don't see any problems in using it.

2 gauge is HUGE overkill for the additional ground wires. 10 or 8 gauge is just fine.

But, if you already have it, it will work. Just may look goofy with extra giant wires running around the engine bay .

I use 1-0 welding cable and make my own ends .I like over kill . The wires are not seen so I do not care if they look goofy .I have sold several and no complants .
