Ground wire between main cat and cat back

What is it for and how important is it? i've never tried to trace it to its origin so...

It goes from the exhaust stud to the chassis!it aids the o2 sensor to give it an accurate reading (IMO). I think it is important and to be honest you can never have enough grounds. I have replaced mine with a nice copper one.

yes it does! the 3rd gen has grounding issues to begin with much less not keeping the ones that are not there is a bad idea IMO

hmmm never noticed ground wire there...

What tha hell...I've never noticed a ground wire from the exaust stud to the frame....unless I over looked it. Where exactly is it? Anyone have any pics or can anyone please take a quick snap shot of the ground wire?......Please....Thanks...Tony

When I put my Apex Gt on i forgot to put the cat/catback ground strap on, my 3k stumble disappeared. I put the ground strap back on and had my 3k sumble again, so i ended up leaving it off for now.
