Grinding off the emission ports on JDM LIM

I was wondering if anyone had girded off the ports for the ACV and would of be EGR on their JDM LIM. I ran water though all the port and none of them seem to interfere with the runners so I'm not see any reason why it would work out fine. I'm mainly worried about the runner one the back side. Its cause my down pipe to have to curve around and I would like it straight.

i ground down my usdm lim a while back ago. the only thing you have to worry about is the pin holes that the egr uses to tap into the two primary runners. on a jdm unit, i doubt youll have this problem.

is this the effect youre looking for?

We did that on a three rotor in take yesterday and have one more to go for customers in Atlanta . Rotorbrains intake ( pic above ) was done by himself at my shop,so we know what to do .I had removed some of the extra from my manifold .Pauls looks better than the picture ,Mine is polished . The three rotor ones we are doing will be polished as well .

Get a GZ manifold and use that.

Is there a hole or anything into the runners that has to be welded up after this is ground off ? I like the finished manifold. Show me the other side of that black manifold

There is two small holes into the center runners where the EGR sits. No big deal, whip out the Miller Tig torch for them

hehe, thanks guys. i dont have any pictures of the other side, but basically, its ground down to hell as well. its not as clean as the outside, though. thats because its hardly seen. any holes that were discovered were welded up and then ground back down.

i gotta admit, doing this myself is fine, but you may as well just buy the groundzero manifold and modify it how you wish. there was A LOT of time involved in this manifold. i have two extra sets that i was planning on "finishing" and just havent gotten back to them. wife. . . kid. . . you know. just not enough time to involve myself in this right now.

basically, when you do this, you just grind everything that is unwanted away. . . then sand it down. if you do take this as a project, just remember. . . its VERY labor intensive!!!!

in the meantime, im working on a sleepyeye headlight kit. it should look very good, but i just noticed the other day that someone else is working on one to be produced. . . so, i dont know if itll be worthwhile for me to sell mine as a kit. anyways, what i meant was, im knee deep in sleepyeye-ness, and getting manifolds done wont be on my list of to-do's for a while. . . atleast until i get the list of "honey-do's" out of the way.
