Exclamation Greetings Everyone!

Hey Everyone,

Just joined the club.
I wanted to start off I guess by
posting the new member of the
family. Just got it in from japan
haha and i know a few of you
are probably a little bitter about
the RHD's coming in, but its all
i could get! :P

Anyways, its a 1992 FD3S Rx-7.
I'm going to list the mods
and post a pic:

* Engine Side Port Processed
* KKK K28 Turbo
* Racing Waistgate
* TRUST Intercooler
* STILLWAY Oneoff front pipe
* Oneoff Muffler
* Racing Radiator
* Aluminum Pulley
* HKS EVC
* Defi Boost Gauge
* TRUST Oil temp gauge
* Water Temp Gauge
* Exhaust temp gauge
* HKS F-conV pro(gold)
* Racing seats (New!)
* STILLWAY Short Shifter
* DUMLOP Semi-racing tire
* 17" Alloys
* Oilcooler
* Adjustable Suspension
* Boost 1.2kg
=

Now most of this was told
to me by the previous owner
in Japan and this baby is
supposed to be putting out 600HP
(Not sure if thats crank or wheel
but either way its not totally confirmed
yet) and do the 1/4 mile in 10 seconds
(Also not confirmed yet, although I
would say in Canada and given the
altitude 10 seconds is a bit optimistic)

Mileage: 41,000 Km (Original - Modified at 30,000 Km)
Auction Grade:4.0
Engine: Rotary (13B)
Transmission: Manual (5 Speed)
Color: Red

So is anyone familiar with this Turbo?

Not big on turbos, but that sorta looks like an electric supercharger to me. They built a few for Volkswagen engines.

The real question is can I have your hood once you blow your engine?

I ask because #1 it is the only thing I would take and #2 because you are running 1.2bar =~17.4psi on what seems to be a stock EMS.

Check out the Canadian section in the forum as the main 3rd gen section isn't the place to post pictures of your car.

I know I may be an @$$ but I would have rather thrown 20$ bills into a fire than buy that car.

It has mismatching wheels and has been resprayed usually they do that to hide something.

I still don't understand the people buying JDM cars like this. I would much rather have a nice clean stock ride than a miss-modified car.

I agree that he needs some type of standalone or at least a piggyback fuel system. I think that no one should be running single turbo with out a standalone...

I'm a little confused why anyone would think that this was on the stock ecu. And that doesn't look much like an electric supercharger- it looks like a turbo with a heat shield.

I can't tell you anything about it w/o seeing the nomenclature on that placard and/or the housing.

I suggest you upgrade your ast and put and replace wire mesh on the turbo with a real air filter.

heh.. yeah.. that's Top Fuel's bumper...

Rare setup you got there.

You are the first FD i've seen in north america with that bumper. Only japanese tuner that uses KKK turbo is Blitz. But its used quite frequently with european tuners(audi, vw..etc). For those that don't know, its not supercharger looking.... its just a heal shield that covers the exhaust side. It looks really cool polished

welcome to the club

btw.... what kinda spoiler is that?? it almost look like Knightsports... but it looks like aluminum all around... even the sides

Yeah its a heat shield and your right about the KKK turbo, I also think it was used a lot in diesel trucks. In regards to the spoiler, I can tell you it has Stillway written all over it lol. I'm just assuming its made by them but not 100%
