They don't have a kit for the RX-7.

$400 for a 14-row cooler? That's fricking funny.

Go to racer wholesale or summit racing. Get an Earl's Temp-A-Cure cooler. They are fantastic products and a more suitable-sized upgrade (19-row, regular width) is only $170.

Please do a search for what's really required to run aftermarket coolers...you can use my username or Mahjik's.

There lies the problem. There is no such thing as a "universal kit". How can you have universal mounting brackets and universal length SS lines? You can't. That means you still have to create those things (and making SS lines with AN fittings is not a joy).

Also, those coolers are typically designed as add-ons for piston engine cars. Most piston engine cars don't even run an oil cooler, but a rotary uses the oil for a great deal of the cooling of the engine, so an oil cooler is critical.

I'm with Rynberg - there's way better and cheaper options out there. I would be concerned that the Greddy cooler wouldn't be robust enough.

The biggie is - if you're gonna start messing with oil coolers, you really should have an oil temp gauge and KNOW that you have an oil cooling problem. You also need to be able to use the gauge to tell that your upgrade had the desired effect. This is not something you want to do blindly! Not to mention the stock oil cooler(s) are actually really good, and only become a limiting factor with heavy duty track use (as in road course racing, not as much drag racing).

You don't want to upgrade critical systems like that without fully understanding the pros and cons, as well as knowing whether or not you need it.
