Greddy type S BOV

Just recently got my 7 fixed and tuned. I also got a Greddy type S BOV. I've played with it both at soft and hard settings, but compared to my stock BOV, its extremely quiet. As its the first time I've had one, I wanted to make sure this was others experience. All my work was done at Rotary Performance which I've learned to trust implicitly. One factor that I did not have with the stock BOV, was that I had a high flow cat at the time, and now I am running a midpipe, which at full throttle with my PFS cat back is quite LOUD!!

Appreciate your feedback.

You know if it is rated up to 60 psi and you set it that tight, your turbos aren't going to be able to push it open unless you actually boost that high. =P

Is it welded to hard piping? Or do you have the kit that attaches it to a small hose? It's gonna be quiet if it's attached by the hose since not as much air flows through it....I can get you a video clip of mine if you would like, then you can tell me if you think it is quiet. It will change your mind very quickly.

Why on earth would you need a BOV rated at 60psi? Are you planning to modify your car for NHRA? I would presume not since the BOV you are referring to is a Tial not a Tile but I could me wrong and the thing to get is a type R rated 60psi extreme aggressive dual pipe mounted hard spring calibrated to race specifications Tile BOV.

Unless you are planning to run over 18psi, which would require water/alchohol injection or race gas I would say a type S would be sufficient or something similar.

I love my Greddy type S. I personally didn't like the sound of my old Apexi becuase it reminded me of a 18 wheeler's BOV, no offense though, I liked it at first. But I will probably have to use the Apexi until I get a block off plate for the tubing provided by XS.
